We’re proud to announce IDO Hunting’s newest Reporter, Travis “Maneck34” Eckman.
Here’s Travis’ Bio in his own words.
“One day after my 29th Birthday (9/10/06) I was introduced to http://www.iDoHunting.com . Years later, this site still proves to be a gift that keeps on giving! I’ve learned a great deal from the collaborative efforts of the many individuals on this site and I credit much of my success in the field to all of you! It is extremely gratifying to learn from and to teach others about successful tactics in the outdoors. This site’s wealth of knowledge, great stories, photos, videos, and camaraderie of sharing experiences in nature continues to drive my soul.
My name is Travis Eckman – aka “Maneck34”. To date, most of my outdoor adventures have taken place at or near where I spent my childhood life – Trempealeau County, Wisconsin. Much of my adult life has been spent living hours across the border and in the city. The city environment has helped me gain an extra appreciation for nature. While afield or afloat I find the serenity that soothes me. To me, nothing compares to finding peace within the great outdoors and being able to share the experiences with family and friends. Thanks to my father, I was introduced to many outdoor activities at an early age. I’m always looking for a new adventure, but hunting whitetails, coyotes, turkeys, and small game still provides me with constant excitement. My number one passion is hunting whitetails with bow and arrow! My next adventure is to seek a trophy whitetail with a traditional re-curve bow. Fishing with rod and reel and bow fishing are also passions of mine. Tempting a trout with a fly or a spinner in small trout streams near my upbringing also boils my blood. With that being said, someday I hope to land a trophy musky with the use of a fly and fly rod. Nature has so much to offer – so much to do with so little time!
Once again, I would like to thank all of you that are a part of the outstanding http://www.iDoHunting.com community. You’re knowledge and excitement has provided me with a great deal of success and enjoyment in my adventures. I am honored and proud to be a part of the IDO Staff and I’m looking forward to being part of the continued progress and camaraderie that this community brings!”
