I just finished my new smoker I have been planning this for a few years now and decided to just go for it. I have a Bradley 6 rack all digital smoker that I have been using for 2 years now but I decided I needed something bigger. I got this “food warmer” and combined it with a bradley smoke generator. I will be heating it with an electric heat element so everything will be electric, no more starting fires and hoping they stay going. The rack that is near the top has hooks that I made so you can slide them where you want them and set the set screw. When your doing sticks, you can slide them out of the way and lock them down. I made a drip pan to catch as much as I can and put vents on the sides and on the bottom. All and all it turned out great.

Another great part of it is that it holds alot of my meat grinding stuff while I am not using it. It was two doors on the front so I can save alittle heat if I need to open it. It also has a build in thermometer. I will have a few different thermometers that will go in thur the vents on the sides and into the meat. The best part about using this food warmer is that I KNOW that its safe for food. It is made to hold food at high temps and I don’t have to worry about getting anyone sick because of the smoker itself.

Wow – it turned out great! Maybe we should have an IDO smoker party at the end of the fall hunting season!

On Sunday I decided that it was time to give her a test drive. I got a 8lbs turkey breast. I put it in at about 6am and ran the temp up to about 220. I pulled the turkey out at about 1pm and let it sit for 20 min or so, a trick Burbob and Sauger taught me . That turkey was the best turkey I have ever had. The old lady hates turkey, she says its always “so dry.” She loved this turkey. It came out just outstanding

Now time to get some venison in it. Maybe a trip to the batcave to fill her up
