Mallard_malitia and his father in law are bow hunting moose and bear in alberta and have two moose on the ground and are on the blood trail of a bear as I type. He is pretty pumped.
I’m sure the complete story will be here in a week or so.
Now I cant wait to start chasing game of my own

Not many details but I just recieved a text “BIG CHOCOLATE DOWN!!”
They spent most of the day processing moose meat, so there wasnt a whole lot of time to hunt, but sounds like they made the most of it.
I didnt here anymore about the first bear.

Wow!! Congrats to them Good thing Moose aren’t part of the hunting contest or we’d all be way behind already…

Hey Guys…. Just got back from the Peace River Valley in Northwest Alberta. I need to catch up on some sleep tonight after the 32hr truck ride and I’ll be posting a report tomorrow. It was a great hunt bringing home two bull moose and two nice black bear for two guys and all done with stick and string. Attached are a couple teaser pictures of my moose and bear. My father inlaw and I each had an archery moose tag and an archery black bear tag that was good for two bears, but after butchering a couple timber donks (Moose) we quickly realized our two freezers only allowed one moose and one bear each. What a great trip. Story and pics sometime tomorrow.
