I’m pretty sure we have covered this topic a few times, but oh well. I will be getting a youth rifle for my small framed 11 year old this year. Not sure what caliber to get him yet. I was told with the reduced rounds it basically takes a .270 and makes it feel like a .243. Anyone have experience with this. Last year he shot an auto loading 6mm and said that it was no big deal. Also if anyone has a line on a used youth rifle.

I shoot the managed recoil loads by Remington in my .270 and my 30-06. I love em I tried them in my 30-06 first, and could still drill out to 200 yards, so I switched with the .270 also.

I liked the managed recoil rounds for my 30-06 so much I ordered a case of them.

My 12 year old shoots them no problem.
