I’m pretty sure he first showed up in 08 as a 3.5 and last year he grew a g4 where he had the bump in 08 now this year he hasn’t put on anyrhing else at 5, is he maxed out? Got video footage of some real dandy shooter bucks on a different farm but can’t figure out how to get uploadable still photos out of the footage, one is way in to the 170s, another nearing 150 and a solid 130, all with in 400 yards of the stand I shot my avitar buck out of last year, the rut can’t come fast enough!

I think hes about as big as hes going to get. He had a nice rack last year, I could be wrong but he’d better get going to match up to last year. Looks like he’ll have a couple more points this year, nice deer anyway you look at it.

I would say he’s done…if he walked past my stand! I do think he looks bigger last year than he is right. Only way to tell is get your hands on him this fall!

IMO he may still have more to offer. I think they said the best years for antler developement are 6-7(which is a hypothetical age in my area ). I have seen deer that seem to regress for one year and then really put on the inches the next. It could be due to crop rotation, weather, ect… If he gets good nutrition he might put on another 20?? What do you think his gross score was last year?

If you need someone to come help cull these junky deer, let me know. I’m only a few miles away.

If you ever have 2 days off in the mid week let me know, just putting the finishing touches on the bunk house for geust hunters, sleeps 14! Plenty of deer and only 1 tag! We have been passing bucks on 5 properties in that area for 5 years now and the way things are shaping up it could be a great year!!

qdm what makes you think he is the same deer. To me it appears as though he was about a 150’s deer last year as a 10 pointer and as an 8 this year IMO he would be lucky to make 110 inches as an 8. Loseing 40+ inches in 1 year??? Maybe I’m missing the resemblances in the pics, but if I were a betting man I would have to say they are different deer.

In the 08 pic he has just a tiny bump on his left side where and decent G4 grew in 09( he never was a 10) and now this year like you said he is a 110 inch buck!! But still has the same small G4 on his left. Just disapointed that with age he is shrinking!!

Yes my bad, I don’t know how to count he was a 9 pt. Is there another pic that I’m not seeing I can’t even see his left side this year. Looks like a brow, G2 and G3? I’m missing something lol

Maybe that scar on his shoulder has something to do with it.
