Lots of activity on the site this morning, hope some more of you can make it to the GTG. Should be a nice morning with less humidity and we will have some good food!

I’m doing what I can to make it. However, after traveling for work all week, my points jar is almost empty. Not sure why work counts against that, but you’ll have to ask my wife. I’m too scared.
August 13, 2010 at 3:32 pm #85130Not looking good for me. Was hoping to finally meet all of you clowns…
Have fun, shoot straight and be safe.
August 13, 2010 at 3:55 pm #85134I am coming with Jami Ritter and my room mate “Red”. I’m gonna be sighting in the crossbow with my new 100 grain Rage’s. This should be fun!!!
August 13, 2010 at 5:53 pm #85147I know we have abroadhead range at rapids. You have to get permission to shoot your cross bow there though
August 13, 2010 at 6:07 pm #85149Bear baiting opener this weekend I would sure like to be there… But a man has to have his priorities in line! maybe next year.
August 13, 2010 at 7:20 pm #85161Turns out, the neighbor at the cabin, said no problem, he will seed the plot….so that free’s me up for tomorrow I will be bringing a guest also… rumor has it he can’t shoot worth a crap, so best I bring him so he can practice

August 14, 2010 at 12:09 pm #85210Have fun today guys! I’ve been here at work since 5am. Not done until 3pm. So that wrecked the day. I’ll be thinking of all the fun you’re all having.
August 14, 2010 at 9:22 pm #85247It was fun. A tad warm but the company was tops. I think we had about 15 shooters. Thanks to all that drove from so far away.
Also thanks to Joel, Pat and Scott for bringing food and cooking.
August 14, 2010 at 10:00 pm #85251Ditto, great time and first time for me shooting that course. I will be up for it again anytime if anybody wants to meet up and shoot it some more. Can’t believe I haven’t shot it before and only 20 minutes away.
Nice to meet all of you as well guys and gal, no problem on the brats, it was my pleasure putting the hammer down on the doe that they came from.
Tony P., I am glad the BBO hunt was won by a good guy, great shooting with you! That Z7 is the flattest shooting bow I have ever seen!
August 14, 2010 at 10:25 pm #85253It was a great day Good to Knock the dust off the bow and spend some time with others who share the passion

August 15, 2010 at 6:32 am #85268What a fun time cant wait to do it again
Great to meet everyone good shooting all around
Thanks to scott and Joel for the food.August 16, 2010 at 3:10 am #85315Thanks all for the great time. Though it’s already been said, it’s hard to have a bad time with such good folks.
As for the food, we have a bunch of other people to thank for that, all I brought was charcoal! James Holst and IDO came through in a big way with the buns, chips, and dessert, while Tuck and Scott B. brought some great venison to share.
Thanks again all, hopefully next year is a bit less humid. Certainly didn’t seem to hurt our shooting, as I was impressed with how well we all shot!
Joel

Thanks Chris! It looks like I need to read some of these posts more often. Sorry I kept Brad from coming to the shootout. I am sure we will get to see most of you during bow season or minimally at the Buck Party in January!
