I don’t have any experience with the Flash Drive, but I love my Hard Drive 30GB Sony. It holds a ton of footage and easily downloads to the Computer via USB. I use this camera as my 2nd Camera now but originally when I bought it was my main camera. One main thing I would consider especially if you are using it for Hunting is: how easy is it to adjust the Manual Focus. This is key for filming deer hunts.

The second thing I would consider is a decent tree mount and fluid head for the camera (I use and highly recommend the Go Muddy Arms!) Click on Go Muddy Outfitter Camera Arm

If you have any questions feel free to PM me or ask them here. I have been down this road you are about to go!

Been toying around with trying to figure out how to do this myself, without the big camera arm or tripod. if in a ground blind or box stand they would be ok, but by yourself in a climber or portable, no way, already have to much crap to haul up the tree. plus trying to be steady and get ready for the shot, while futzing with the camera to get decent footage.

I’m thinking of a head type apparatus or something you can strap onto your left arm (for us righties)..

anyone come up with something they use??

one thing I made. i took a three arm bow hanger and mounted a small tripod camera head on it like that one’s for a spotting scope window mount works great. The only thing I don’t like and trying to change is a quick connect so that I can film deer that are far away and then put it back on I’ll send ya a pick.
