    All photos in this thread were taken a few weeks before my trip. Doug was on a black bear hunt with the same crew that hosted our fishing trip. His scenery pics and brown bear pics are tough to beat.

    More pics. Doug was successful in tagging out a black bear, but he didn’t send any of those pics. We ate bear sausage a couple mornings for breakfast.

    If I didnt know any better, the second bear pic with the bad rubbed rear end, could easily be mistaken for a Sasquatch…..

    He ended up taking the black bear with his pistol. Caliber, I don’t recall. These guys go “bear” hunting every spring. I really think it’s an excuse to spend a week in the wilderness.

    I have a cousin that lives in Alaska…I need to go visit him sometime. Truly a magnificent place from the pictures I’ve seen!
