I am working on the final details of a resolution I am proposing at the Spring Hearings. I am looking for specific details on any Township, County, isolated parcels…ect that has an ordiance that restricts the discharge of or caliber size (including the use of shotguns) within that township or zone. May also be a restriction on archery.

    Example of what I need:
    #1 Example
Township = Anti-ville, Dodge County. Has restriction to NO discharge of any firearm with the township boundries
    #2 Example
Township = No-Whereville, Waukesha County.Township Ordiance no discharge of any firearm south of I-94 to Hwy 18 and from County Hwy X to County Hwy Y. All other areas in Township No-Whereville are restricted to shotgun only with a shot size not to exceed #XYZ

This is not specific to the caliber restrictions during the traditional gun deer hunting season. With the many different locations I go predator hunting, I am finding our state has allowed many different municipalities to create laws/ordiances restricting what firearms may be used. Or in a few extreme cases, hunting is NOT allowed. (I am not including CITY limits for obvious reasons) As I have dug into this much deeper, most do not have anything on their websites, and a sportsman may have an incredibly difficult time locating this information. My proposal is to have the DNR mandate and host a website location to centralize this information. Any municipality that has such an ordinance, must file it with the DNR and pay for the Website hosting/managing. This will allow all sportsmen an easy means to identify where and how they may hunt without unknowingly breaking the law.

    Thanks for your help!
