Back in 2006 at the Roundtable we decided that there was a need to look at “all things Bass”. The Good, Bad and Ugly. But it took over a year for this to get off the ground. It became a Bass Workshop lead by the DNR and not the advisory committee we had envisioned. And while the topic of an earlier opener came up, the DNR quickly took it off the table.
In order to move forward we will need as much data as we can to make a case for a Spring C/R season or a “year round” season.
Both New York State and Michigan have made changes to thier season openers, I think we need to look at the steps they took and see if there is value in looking at what they have done.

I think I might support a no harvest season in late May to mid-June if C/R weigh-ins could be held.
