    It sounds about right to me.. it may be worth even a little more than that.

    Small 4 stroke tiller models arent cheap and there is a high demand.

    3 years ago I picked up a 97 9.9 hp kicker w/electric start for 1300….maybe I paid too much?

    He must be a REAL good friend to let it go for 1K$. Motors like kickers especially, about a 85 to 100$ per HP, so 15 HP= 1500 if in awesome good shape, 1250$ @ the 85$. Good kickers are in demand all the time. You can always check with a dealer.
