You can never fill out too many brackets…

Last year I think Fireflick ran one that the bracket winner received a bait, preference walleye or bass, from each of the loosing participants. Each person was responsible to mail to the winner. Honor system. Is this something either of you would consider? Makes it a little more interesting

I always enjoy the brackets. Have had a long standing deal doing this with my youngest son.

BTW,the password is case sensitive. I found that out.

Be wary of the the “honor system” method, I won a fantasy football league with 11 other fellow IDAers and have received 1 of the 11 lures that I was supposed to get.

Maybe John, last years winner, will chime in here. Now you’ve got me curious about last years “pay-off”.

Had no access to internet yesterday or the few days before, so I am only in a small family pool. Of course this is the year where I will pick every thing just right. Yesterday for example, I picked them all right!!! Today has not been quite a good, but the Drake/W.Kentucky; Gonzaga/Davidson and Butler/S. Alabama were tough games to pick. Miami beat St. Mary’s who was ranked for a period of time and UConn is possibly on its way down!!! Good luck guys!!!

Hunter Who Killed Son Rearrested for DWI
Updated: Monday, 01 Feb 2010, 11:32 PM CST
    Published : Monday, 01 Feb 2010, 10:14 PM CST

The hunter, who mistakenly killed his son, was rearrested after violating the terms of his probation for allegedly driving under the influence.

Leo Albretch came home to find his mail scattered across the street a week and a half ago. His wife thought vandals had destroyed their mailbox, but it turned out to be the latest warning sign from a man who’s had his share of trouble over the last couple of years.

Albretch says he was approached a few minutes later by Anthony Klaseus, who admitted he’d hit Albretch’s mailbox with his side-view mirror. Klaseus later told police he had had five beers at his parent’s house at the end of the cul-de-sac, where he’d been house sitting.

Even though he blew a .07 on a portable breathalyzer, which is below the legal limit to drive, police say Klaseus failed a field sobriety test. They also found two beer cans on the floor of his pickup truck and officers arrested him on suspicion of drunk driving. This isn’t the first time Klaseus has been in trouble with the law.

Nearly two years ago, he shot and killed his 8-year-old son, Hunter, after mistaking him for a turkey while the two were hunting near Belle Plaine. At the time of the shooting, Klaseus had drugs in his system. Prosecutors say his arrest for driving under the influence violates his probation for manslaughter because he’s not allowed to have any drugs or alcohol or break the law.

Albretch was able to repair his mailbox within a few days but he says it’ll be much harder for his neighbor’s son to put his life back together.

A judge gave him 60 days in jail as well as 90 days of electronic home monitoring after that. He must also undergo chemical assessment within 30 days and still faces penalties for his DWI.

You know if it was one of us, and we lost ourselves in a bottle I’d have some empathy. Sorry, not for this guy. He needs to be locked up so he can be forced to sober up.

The guy will probably get more jail time for hitting the mail box while driving below the legal limit than de did for killing his son while high on drugs. The laws in this state when it comes to crimes against children are way messed up. This guy should not have even been out on the street to be able to drink a few beer’s.

I’m not sure how anyone could live with himself going through life knowing that you took your own child’s life away due to being reckless with drugs and alcohol. He obviously has not come to terms with it and continues to abuse himself and others around him. I hope he gets the professional help that is needed so he can stop the abuse.
