As it has always been, our favorite hunters, endorse this or that brand, whether it be clothing, equipment, beef jerky or whatever. No doubt, learning the features it sure is helpful. My question is, how much of your thought process in making a purchase, is based on an endorsement from a pro hunter ???

Good question Big G. Today more than ever, there are endless products out there being endorsed by pro hunters. You really have to question the validity of the endorsement. Is the product really that good/necessary or is the pro hunter recommending it just because he/she gets paid to do so. I would like to say that hunters here on IDO have more influence on me versus any pro hunter endorsement.

I am the same way Brad. Although, I will say, the pro’s typically can use ANY product they want, so they are gonna get the best deal they can, which doesn’t always equate to the best product. I too get alot of great feedback here, from guys I chat with everyday, it goes alot further for me. Of course, nothing beats being able to trial run a product before buying

i have to say that it depends on the product or type of equipment. For example, i would definitely be influenced by clothing such as Scent Lok, boots, bow vest, etc. However, when it comes to bows, broadheads, and arrows, i definitely don’t believe that just because THEY shoot it/use it that it will be the same for me. Bow grips, feel, shock, arrow spine, broadhead performance and the like are never the same for each person. So its important IMO to shoot what works for you and to keep an open mind about what other “average joes” experience rather than the pros
