I’m over 50, a member of AARP and I can’t wait until they get this health care reform signed into law.

Thanks for sharing your veiw! Do you realize that the majority of AMERICANS don’t think the same way as you? Shouldn’t the views of the American people be the determining factor of how the Congressional vote proceeds? Or has Washington decided that the country that was formed by the people, for the people no longer has a say on what they do?

    From Mondays Rasmussen Poll

Overall, 40% of voters nationwide favor the health care reform plan proposed by President Obama and congressional Democrats. Fifty-five percent (55%) are opposed.

Fifty-two percent (52%) also believe passage of the legislation will lead to a decline in the quality of care.

Polls can be interpreted in many ways and manipulated by the form the questions take. 70+ Americans want reform, but not necessarily the plan on the table right now. I’m not real crazy about the present plan, but at least it is a good start. No plan will be perfect; any plan will have to be tweeked and adjusted. I personally favor a single payer plan because I have a lot of experience with what the right wing calls “socialized medicine”, and I know first hand that most single payer systems work far better and far cheaper than our system.
The people don’t run this country anymore, corporations do!
