Not sure what size I use, 12 maybe? But the color that has been slamming them for me is the pink glow!

    I LOVE MY GILL PILL!

just do what i do when i order jigs, buy 2 of every one or 4. you never know what they may want on any giving day. i like a little bigger jig on aggresive days and a little smaller one on a finiky bite. if you fish dark or stained water glow and oranges always work well. clear water i like pink and green. firetiger and glow red are good all around colors. hopefully this helps you out , dan

I prefer the bigger sizes, especially this time of year…..10’s and 12’s for me.

    My 3 favorite colors are:

    Red Glow Brite
    White/Black
    Glow Brite

    in that order

They are… I’m just not sure about inventory at the end of the ice season. This product should be available year around but I don’t remember seeing them outside of the ice fishing tackle section.

Fleetfarm & Gander carry them and earlier in the year they had a fantastic supply at both stores.

my best success has been the glow red GPs too. ganders in LV and FL dont seem to carry the larger sizes, i try to get the #10s.

i have also had good luck during the day fishing with their silver and gold precious metal ones as well. but the glow red has become my panfish visa, i never leave home without it!

shop around, otherwise hit that link on the left tab and get em right from the source! nothing better than buying direct from our sponsors!

Does our new sponsor, Sportsmans, carry these?

I was at Sportsman’s Warehouse in Woodbury last night and they do not carry them.

Give Mike at HookedOnFishing in Rochester a call. He has a decent assortment of both in size 12, the exception would be the #12 gold diamond. 507-282-4982 He is good about sending to people in need.

I have been doing well with the firetiger in a size 10 or 12. The bluegills just inhale them. Most of the time i have to use a pliers to get it out of their mouth.

    Happycampin-

I would order a couple of each color. I have found that some colors produce some days, and then they won’t the next day. All of this of course, it mood, light, activeness…etc dependent. In my opinion you can never have enough assortment. Maybe that is why I am crazy? I have a full box full of gill pills alone…

I have had a lot of success with the glow red gill pill and the clown gill pill. I fish the muddy mississippi and those 2 colors were the first to sell out this winter at Gander around here. I am sure other colors are great as Luke has mentioned, but those are two that consistently produce for me. A few different sizes would be beneficial depending on the depth fishing and the activity of the bite. You might want to look into buying some diamond jigs as well. They fish fast and have been very successful in many of my adventures.

WE WRAPPED UP OUR MICHIGAN LATE BOW SEASON ON THE 1ST. WE WERE HUNTING THE CEDAR SWAMPS WHERE OUR DEER MIGRATE TO TO COMBAT THE COLD WEATHER AND FOOD SHORTAGE.USUALLY A LOT OF FUN AND SEE LOTS OF DEER. NEVER SEEN A ANTLERED BUCK DURING LATE SEASON DOWN THERE UNTIL THIS YEAR. HAD A VERY NICE 130ISH TEN COME FROM DOWNWIND ON A MIGRATION TRAIL I WAS SITTING ON. TO PUT THAT INTO PERSPECTIVE ITS ABOUT LIKE SEEING A BOONER IN WISCONSIN. IT HAPPENENS BUT N0T ALL THAT OFTEN. HE BUSTED ME AT ABOUT 50 YARDS WASNT EXPECTING HIM TO COME FROM MY TRUCK! NOW NO DEER TO HUNT ITS TIME FOR COYOTES AND DEER VIDEOS! THEY ARE NOW SHOWING THIS FALLS 09 HUNTS ON THE BONE COLLECTOR WITH MICHAEL WADDELL. PRETTY COOL THEY SHOW THEM THIS EARLY AND NOT IN EARLY SUMMER. MY WIFE LOOKS AT MY DVD COLLECTION AND JUST SHAKES HER HEAD. GOT TO COMBAT DEPRESSION SOMEHOW!

Congrats on your encounter with the 10 pointer Skip! I agree with you – that is a very good buck for your area.
