I’ll spare most of the details and just post some pics. I will say it was fun, and beatiful, and we’re now looking to buy some land/cabin in the next few years in the North Shore area. If you’ve never been to Duluth, I would make it a priority for your next trip. As you can see plenty of deer moving in the daylight too!

There are LOTS of deer around Duluth, especially along the North Shore. A long time ago (20+ years) a bunch of buddies and I went up to Lutsen, downhill skiing…(yeah, I used to do that) anyways, we skied there a couple days, then were heading down to Duluth, to ski Spirit a couple days. Anyways, we were driving along the north shore, it was dark & obviously winter… we see a DEER CROSSING sign, says next 2 miles…. I swear, there were deer everywhere… they were crossing the road, like hippies heading through the gates at Woodstock Evidently, this was an easy place for the deer to cross, to get to the lake for a drink… We did about 15 MPH for the 2 miles, had to STOP multiple times for the deer to cross…. it was something I don’t think I will ever see again. And oh yeah, it is Beautiful up there
