I hear you Lenny. I haven’t got the travel routes down by any means; but I got a pretty good idea why that 12 lb monster recently caught was through the ice and not up at the dam. Not to say there couldn’t be any 12 lb girls up at the dam right now; but I bet there is a heck of a lot more down in Pepin right now. And in a month or so……..

I know it’s a longshot but I lost a hitch style deer carrier in Ripley this past weekend. I had it when I was on Argon road in the am of Thursday. I think I lost is on a tank trail just south of Normandy. But, it could have been as far up as Casino. If you hear of anything I would really appreciate any info. Even willing to pay a recovery fee. To make it worse,It’s not mine, I borrowed it and it was a homemade beefy unit. Pretty uniqe in the construction.

I left my info at the weigh in station in case it’s found in two weeks but I would think somebody came across it by now. Thanks for your help!

Sorry Dale! Tank trail. Exactly why I never apply anymore. I remember somebody telling me they saw 2 guys get out of their vehicle to move a downed tree so they could continue driving down a tank trail through the woods a few years back. Sorry had to give you a little grief

Try calling Range Control at 320-632-7298. Their staff is out every day checking barriers and doing safety checks. I am sure they would be willing to help you locate it.

Thanks SD! I will give that a try. And Randy,,,I should clarify. A tank trail is what I call a smaller road in Ripley. Not something with logs on it.

Copper doesn’t know where he is most of the time! And probly doesn’t know what a deer trail is,, He hunts where deer make highways.
