vehicle help needed

I have a 04 chey crew cab and the rear door won’t open I can hear the actuator but the slide for the lock doesn’t move tried moving the slide and it’s just sponges back also tried operating both the power lock and the slide at the same time and nothing. Does anyone know if you can slimjim the rear door. Or can a person get the panel off without the door open I’m guessing the rod is jammed or something like that. thanks

MAKE SURE THE OUTER DOOR HANDLE IS ALL THE WAY IN. IF IT IS THEN AT MY SHOP I WOULD CAREFULLY TAKE THE INNER PANEL LOOSE ENOUGH TO GET MY HANDS DOWN ON THE LEFT SIDE AND WORK THE LOCK ROCK AND OR THE LATCH ROD. BUT FIRST CHECK THE OUTER DOOR HANDLE,LOTS OF THE LATE MODEL GMS IF THE OUTER DOOR HANDLE ISNT IN ALL THE WAY IT WONT UNLOCK
