iDoHunting is proud to announce that we’ve added two new iDoHunting Reporters to our team.

Please help me welcome Jeff Heeg (JDX–)! Jeff’s expertise and focus will be in the Archery and Deer Hunting Forums.

Here’s a bio written from Jeff Heeg:

Most of you know me as JDX—and a few know me as Jeff Heeg. I hope all of you will have a chance to gain something from the info and topics that will be discussed as the year goes on, and hopefully this gives you some insight on certain issues and or helps you take your archery sport to the next level be it competitive or hunting.

I’m just another archer and avid hunter just like you folks, who loves the sport for what it is, I have been blessed with the opportunity to shoot with so many folks thru the years and meet and make many friends and travel all over the USA. I have had my glory days and I had my days that crashed beyond ones level. Archery can be a love hate sport and as we all get older we all meet new challenges physical and competitive, the game is what we make of it from being part of a hunting camp, to target practicing to shoot’in some 3D with some buds to standing on a line somewhere in a major shoot off. As said – It’s what you make of it – Have fun!!!!

I have loved hunting from a young kid on, I was the only one in the family that had the love for the sport and being a kid growing up in the country. I pretty much lived in the woods watching and learning, I have been very lucky as time went on to see and harvest some nice animals. I have also had the great opportunity to hunt in a few places in Buffalo County WI, hanging out at places like Bluff Bucks Outfitters, the part I enjoyed the most about the camps there was interacting with the other hunters in camp, helping these folks work thru some minor obstacles and also to entertain these folks with stories and some fun shooting events. I without a doubt get more satisfaction and excitement seeing other folks in camp progressing then harvesting a buck there myself, sound crazy but I have always had a passion of helping other excel beyond their own expectations, harvesting a buck while there is only the icing on the cake.

I love shooting archery with my Son, Dustin and Daughter Jessica. They both have shot well in their days and they both are in college now but they still compete when able.

If check out the 2008-2009 Mathews DVD that comes with the bows – You can watch me in a little 3D shoot-off action.

Here’s a LINK to my Pro-Staff info on the Mathews web site.

My daughter Jessica has her info next in line to mine.

Jeff is pictured below in the first picture with his wife Carla and with his daughter Jessica in the 2nd picture.

Welcome to the iDoHunting Team Jeff!

Please welcome Jeff Hansen (str8shooter) to our team as well!

Jeff’s expertise and focus will be on predator hunting, trapping and deer hunting.

Here’s a bio written by Jeff Hansen:

    Hi All,

I’ve been a member of the site for a few years, but haven’t really taken the time to introduce myself. My “street name” is Jeff Hansen and I live in West Salem, WI with my wonderful wife Kim, my son Mitch (11), and my daughter Meghan (8). We all share a passion for the outdoors and spend most of our summer on the Mississippi River fishing and boating. In the fall and winter we spend a lot of time at my in-laws cabin in Jackson County hunting and relaxing.

When I stumbled upon the IDO sites a few years ago, I could tell that I found what was to become a great resource for information regarding fishing and hunting. As the IDO Hunting site has grown it has become a part of my daily routine as I check in to see the day’s activities and read the great reports and discussions that take place. It’s nice to be able to read and share stories about bowhunting, trapping, and predator hunting that are happening right here in the Midwest. Regardless of your hunting interests, there seems to be a hunting forum here to pique any hunter’s curiosity.

Over the past few years my interest in predator hunting has grown tremendously. I get a serious kick out of watching a coyote come bouncing across a snowy field thinking he’s up for an easy meal, not knowing that I’m watching his every move through a Burris 3×9. This winter I’m hoping to further reduce the predator population and learn some new strategies and techniques to put more fur on the ground.

Here’s to everyone having a safe and prosperous hunting season as fall is upon us… finally.

    Good luck out there,

    Jeff

Welcome to the iDoHunting Team guys and Congratulations! Both of you earned your way onto the team with your superior hunting knowledge and through your reports.

I also want to point out that both of you chose to write bios that included your family. To me, that says a lot about your character and truly demonstrates what is the most important thing in your life.

Congrats again and everyone here looks forward to your upcoming reports.
