    OUR YOUTH HUNT WAS THIS PAST WEEKEND. NO BAITING ALLOWED. WE SAT OVER A TURNIP PATCH SAT AND SAW NOTHING, THEN WE WENT SPOT AND STALKING ON SUN AND ABBY MY NIECE,MISSED A DOE THEN JUST BEFORE DARK ON A OVERCAST EVENING WE SNUCK UP ON THIS U.P. SLOP AND SHE SMOKED IT AT 125 YARDS. SHE IS ABSOLUTELY HOOKED NOW

    There is nothing greater than taking a kid hunting!!Congratulations. I’ll be in the woods with my kids this weekend south of Iron River on the Wisconsin side. Good luck with the rest of your season- that had to get you points with the hunting gods!!

    Congrats on the hunt and for taking her out. Maybe it’s just my rash of only seeing does lately, but that buck’s body look HUGE for its rack.

    WHERE WE ARE THIS IS A TYPICAL 2.5 YEAR OLD, NICE BODY BUT LACKING A LITTLE IN THE ANTLER AREA! FURTHER SOUTH WHERE THE WINTERS ARENT SO BAD ANTLER GROWTH IS MUCH BETTER EARLY

    Way to go Abby!

    Great job Skip getting her involved with hunting at an early age!

    Have Abby write up a little report about her hunt along with her picture and post it in our 2009 Fall/Harvest Photo Contest. We have a Jr. Hunter Division (16 & Under) and we are giving away $120 Gamehide Jacket and Pant for 1st place, $50 Cabelas Gift Certificate for 2nd place and a Quaker Boy Game Call for 3rd place!
