Way too cool! I’d say the Vikes and their fans are lucky to have this guy.

I like that he says why buy it when you can hunt it! That’s just too cool!

    That was cool!

Only way it could have been more awesome is if he would have jumped out of the tree with the spear!

With all the man-love in this thread, I’m sure to get the crap beat out of me.

But, how many practice shots did Jarad have to take before landing a killing shot on this elk? Maybe on the next show, he can throw big rocks at the elk. Wouldn’t that be cool too? Go Packers!!!!!!

Hunting, hardly IMO. Once I seen that it was an elk coming into be speared I shut it off, as it has to be high fence. Not legal ANY other way. As of 5-6 years ago when MN, outlawed spearing bears, I kind of quit following the rules. Last I knew for big game was Canada bears could still be speared, that was the only place or big game animal that could be hunted with a spear. I am still planning a Maine trip to trap/snare a bear.

Actually being a pen hunt, he DID buy it and kill it, but he did not hunt it.

I think what he is saying is, he could have went to the grocery store and bought it… maybe “hunted” for a bargain on it… but instead, he elected to sit in a tree, with a spear in hand and actually throw the spear into the elk. If you would watch the whole thing, instead of shutting it off, you would see that he says it is a fenced operation…. I guess I give him more credit, than the guy whos elk burger comes in celophane… but that’s just me…..

I agree High fence or not he didnt go to the store and just buy some meat, granted I agree high fence isnt hunting but still impressive non the less to take a elk with a spear…

You’ll be seeing a lot more Jared Allen on Relentless Pursuits. He has purchased the show from Tim Wells and they will be bringing it to more networks.
