Any specific traits you are looking for? What are the goals of your long term breeding plan? Is she certified hip and eyes? Field trial,or show?

Most of those groups are more than willing to help with training, testing, and working twards a title for your dog. Along the way you may even find someone that might want to sire a litter for you. Just a word of advice, more often than not if you go there looking just for a sire, you may receive a very cold shoulder from some members. It can be a good place to meet and hang out with your dog and others that share your passion(plus most of the FT are in the Spring extending your season a lot). Check one out if you get a chance. It sounds like you have a great dog, unfortunatly my Pointers dont like Germans. Good luck!

September 12, 2009 at 5:51 pm #58087yeah i agree they do help sell dogs but dont mean your dog is not just as good without a tittle in my eyes all a tittle dose is lets the judges tell you your dog is good and cost ya some extra cash i have allways thoght let the dog prove itself but the more i been looking into breeding her the more it looks like im going to have to have her tittled before someone will wnat to stud there dog out

Try gspcmn.netkennel.com thats the big GCP club in the metro. If you go to a few events and someone likes the look of her they may want to help you out. If you missunderstood, I raise Pointers not GSP, I was just trying to help you down the right path to finding stud.

September 13, 2009 at 12:45 am #58111Another good organization to check out is NAVHDA that is where I got my start with my GSP 12 years ago, I knew nothing about pointers at the time and they were a great help. I did not get into the trials I just wanted a dog that would hunt. They say that every bird hunter gets one great hunting dog in his life time Abby has been that dog for me and my best friend to boot.
