Guys, I need a little help. My fiance has been shooting some with me at the range and has a desire to learn to shoot shotgun. However I AM NOT a teacher. I just don’t have the patience for it as well as the skill to teach or explain what I think I know.

Does anybody know any shotgun instructors in the Rochester, MN area that could help us? I’d hate for my inabilities to ruin something that she may love before she even gets a chance to love it.

I’ve got kind of a bad taste in my mouth from that trap club. Primarily from the old guy behind the counter. He’s kind of rude to Gun Club Members who are not Trap Club Members. At least that’s my impression from the 2 times I’ve talked with him. There is another fellow there that I talked with a couple times and he seemd to be a good guy. But that old guy really put me off.

Jim Bruce is a good teacher. If he is still teaching thats where i would go. He taught me a lot and helped me get to a whole never level in my shooting. I dont know his number but if i can find it i will post it if you want it

Thanks Andy. I got his number from Coyote Creek. I put a call into him and left him a message. Hopefully he’ll be able to help. I’m sure I could use some pointers to break some bad habits I’ve developed over the years myself.

Wish I was closer. I would like to personally help in this situation. Sounds fulfilling and is something I could do very well.

Andy, I talked with Jim the other day. He’s an awesome guy to talk to and said he knew exactly what I was talking about and looking for. Apparently I’m not the only one who can’t teach shooting. His prices are very reasonable as well. I think I’m going to have him coach me some as well and break some of the bad habits I’m sure I’ve developed over the years.
