Well I just got a phone call from my hunting buddy, With some news that puts an end to hi archery season befor it started.
He has to have back surgery an will be out for the season . All the work an time we put in and this happens. So I will be hunting alone, I guess I will make the best of the season. This also means I have more stands to hunt . Belive me I would rather have him healthy and with me. I wish him the best and hope for a speedy recovery. Its the first archery season since we were kids that we will be split up. Plus I will need to find someone eles to run the camera. My wife say’s she will give it a try and hopefully my dad will also. Good luck everyone. Als I hope my buddy Jim gets well soon .

Good luck Tony and best wishes to your buddy Jim! You could always try filming your hunts yourself…since I don’t let my brother touch the camera anymore I’ve bought an arm for the camera! Might be an option as well.

Here is to a speedy recovery Jim!

Good luck Tony it’s a big adjustment not having a hunting partner around, it really makes you appreciate the time you had and value the time when things are back to normal again, something a lot of folks take for granted

I wish a fast recovery for Jim and most of all
    Be safe!

That’s not only a bummer for you Tony but a bigger bummer for Jim. It sure will be different for both of you this season not being able to hunt together. I’m sure you will be updating Jim on your hunts as he will be living it through you.

I bet your friend will be able to hunt by December assuming the surgery is in the next week or so. I have had a couple back operations and while the first week or two post op is real difficult, once the healing starts things can improve rapidly. The doctor wouldn’t want him going out but they don’t have to know everything.

Please keep in mind that I am not a doctor and this isn’t medical advice but I think your friend shouldn’t give up hope.

Hmm, maybe a blind and a crossbow come to mind. Never know, maybe you guys will come up with something fun to help the healing. Get well soon

Jim has to have hi 3&4 vertabrae fused together, that would be great if he can hunt in December
