I know it’s a little late….but this is what we came up with for watering our food plots. (before it decided to start raining). It only took one time a week ago Saturday to do this and we’ve gotten over 3 inches of the natural stuff since.
This set up cost less than $40 to make and will dump about 200 gallons of water in about 10 minutes on our plots. Because of where our land is, we used a 4hp honda pump with 170 feet of hose to fill the tank from a pond. We can fill the tank in less than 3 minutes. I wish we would have done this a while ago.

you wanna really make it nice?
after you use the pump to fill the tank, use the pump to run a sprinkler head.
it takes us 5 min to fill the tank on a trailer then we pull it out to the plot turn on the pump and in and hour its empty. then we fill it up again move the trailer down the plot 70 yards and start over.
we have found that we get a better “soak” when we started using the sprinkler
    try it

I heard Jami likes to utilize the golden shower technique but usually misses most of the plants trying to write his name..
