Anybody been getting out and busting some clays? I’ve been bust this summer and have neglected my shooting. It’s time now to get out. I’m going to start ASAP. Any guys in Rochester going?

I’ve been out a few times so far this summer, but not as much as I used too. My Shorthair is pushing 15yrs. old and is past his hunting days.

Tough for me to go out and shoot bird without him, but it’s still fun get out and shoot clays every now and then.

Was out busting a few on Saturday. Need to get out more than I have been.

It’s been a while since I fired up the gun on some clay’s, my son and I used to have a blast he had a super nice throwing system that he received from the grandparents. Lots of good memories.

The sad part is I finally got our fishing boat out in the water once this year after it sat in my garage for 3 years without use. I did have it hooked up to the truck once last year but never made it out of the drive.

That is sad. At least I can say my boat has seen more use this year that it ever has.

If anyone’s interested in some sporting clays, the Kanabec Conservation Club is setting up a course for a fund raiser on 8/29. The club is just south of Mora on Hwy 65, and we should have a pretty good turnout. The cost to shoot will be very reasonable and food/drinks will also be available to purchase.

As for trap, I’ve been shooting league all summer. My average score is a little disappointing, but I like to say I’m sandbagging for shoot-offs in September..
