Great report Burr- You are making all of us heading up for the GTG in two weeks go crazy. It was gold and gold and orange as usuall up there? Whole minnow or half a minnow on the dead sticks? I agree with you, almost everytime I head up there the dead sticks just seem to be on fire. I can’t wait to get up there, come on clock- GO FASTER.

Whole minnows and dont touch it no matter what until it goes down. That was a bit of a jokester picture of my buddy John holding a river shiner.

Thanks Sand Burr- Thats what I was thinking. Dead stick under a bobber and a few let it go below the thickness of the ice then WHAM!!! Thanks again for the report. Are you heading to the GTG? Oh wait you just had one.

Jigs on the dead sticket or a plain hook with a split shot? Thanks in advance. Of course everything can change up there from day to day but we all really appreciate the information.

We used Rock-n-Roll jigs on the dead stick. My personal preference is to use jigging raps or angle eye jrs next to them for an attractant.

A friend of mine ask me to post this. She has a 11 month old female Weimaraner that is tan phase. She is an energetic dog and needs a home with someone who will provide her with the proper attention. Her current home is not compatible to a Weimaraner. She’s a big dog and needs room to move around. She is great with kids and loves to play. She is not gun shy as the family enjoys fireworks and the dog is interested in the noises. My father has a male Weimaraner and he is an outstanding hunter of upland birds. I considered taking her, but the fiance and I travel to much for a dog.

Feel free to contact me here and I’ll provide you with her contact number.
