Seems like a good idea. I did it.
The NRA is giving FREE 1-yr memberships to everyone
that wants to join. They are trying to build up their membership to fight
pending legislation that impacts our right to bear arms.

I got a reply and a membership the last time someone posted this. They e-mail me political stuff all the time that is a good read sometimes. Do not get a card or anything but for another $25 or so I could have gotten a second year and got the card, stickers, magazine, etc.
I signed the wife, my brother, and dad up for the free year. All got their information and magazines. I then made a nice donation to cover the costs of the freebies.
