I’ll be testing out a new Covert Blind for possible production next year. The one on the left is the Command Post we have on sale now…the one on the right is our test model. I’ll be taking that bad boy out this weekend to give her a test run. I’m about 6 foot tall and there is plenty of head room in this thing. I know 3 adults can fit very comfortably in there and I plan on having my wife, our daughter and myself in there this weekend. I would think this would be great for taller guys and guys who like to video there hunts. Lots of room inside with bigger, lower windows for archery hunting. I’ll give you an update after this weekend but take a look at it and tell me what you guys think.

Wow! Looks like a great blind. Did the weight change any with the bigger size?

Doug…it is a couple of pounds heavier. This thing is built for the entire family that is for sure! Now the kids can take a nap…in their bunk beds!

Wow! A blind that can fit everyone and everything. I would think this type of blind would really come in handy for archery hunters and for filming!

The first thing that jumps out at me, even more than the size, is the size of the shooting windows. That is one NICE feature!!!

All the windows have the shoot thru screen as well. The window in the picture has one screen to fit that window!

Not sure what the price range will be at this point but I’m thinking about $40 – $50 more than the Covert…but that’s a guess right now so don’t quote me on that!

I was able to take this guy out for a test drive this weekend as it was the wifes season! There was so much room in this thing it was unreal…we had three folding lawn chairs in it with Jackie, our daughter Tori and myself! Plus we had camera gear, back pack for decoys and my turkey vest! All with plenty of room and room for her to get out of her chair to stand up and shoot if she had the chance (and there is where the problem was!) I was out Friday morning to scout and found where a nice tom with some jakes flew out of the roost and were strutting. So as soon as they left the fied and moved on, I placed the blind there and left. Next morning we found ourselves sitting in anticipation of daylight. Well daylight came and before we knew it it was noon and no birds and no gobbling!

I yanked that set and moved to another farm where I knew therre were birds. On my way to set up the blind I bumped a tom from the edge of the woods! Next morning we were surrounded by gobbles in all directions! But the only bird we saw flew off about 70 yards away before it even saw or set…about a minute after it flew a black cat walked form that direction! I guess it wasn’t meant to be! So hopefully I’ll have another chance the last season to give it a try!

    Mike
