I came home the other day from work and my wife was laying on the couch and moaning. I said whats wrong and she said I seen a mouse and I asked what happened. She told me that she went to the back room and opened the washer lid and the mouse ran across the floor. I said ya then what happened and she said I threw my arms up and it scared me to death, evidently she thew one up to fast and pulled a muscle or something.

I said all over a mouse, I knew she hated mice, so to keep from hurting her feelings I went to the bathroom and shut the door and had a hard time from getting to loud from laughing. After I calmed down I said to her that mouse sure got his two cents worth didn’t he, I didn’t know what else to say lol. I set a trap and caught one about 2″ long and she said it was atleast 4″ or 5″. Im still laughing lol. You guys wives afraid of mice too like mine is?

Tina is scared of mice too. We rented a rustic cabin one time. It was picture perfect and it even had a wood burning fire place. As we were enjoying our peaceful evening, a little mouse decided to pay us a visit. Everyone once in awhile, he would run back and forth on top of a room divider (about eye level). I saw him a couple of times and pretended that I didn’t see him. Finally Tina heard something and said “what was that?” I pretended that I didn’t hear anything. The mouse would run back and forth stopping everyone once in awhile making eye contact with us and then proceeded to scurry into a small crack in the wall. Finally, Tina spotted him and yelled “MOUSE!” At first she was scared but then realized that maybe he was gone for the night.

    Shortly after, he reappeared again…

Tina was a trooper and decided to name him “Squeeker” thinking this would help overcome her fear!

“Squeeker” seemed to enjoy his new name and he was scurrying back and forth…. back and forth… making his presence well known. Tina finally lost it and yelled “OK…. He’s being way to obvious!”

So the hunter instincts took over and I quickly figured out where his bedding area was, where his food source was located and his travel patterns in between. I set up with the wind in my face and strategically waited with my weapon in my hand – a broom . It didn’t take too long and I outsmarted “Squeeker”. He now ranks up there with the wide one and stallion.
