    In-Depth Outdoors would like to Congratulate and Welcome Joel Nelson to the In-Depth Outdoors Hunting Pro Staff Team! With the Turkey seasons fast approaching in the midwest, it’s very apparent he loves sharing his In-Depth excitement, wisdom and reports for Turkeys on this site.

    Even though Joel is fairly new to the In-Depth Outdoors family, it didn’t take long for us to figure out that he’s definitely our Turkey Junkie. With his expertise in just about every aspect of the Turkey world, Joel will be a great addition to the IDO Hunting Pro Staff Team. Joel has hunted turkeys for 16 years, while pursuing them in 7 different states. He’s one bird short of his Turkey Grand Slam and only has an Osceola left. Joel speaks at various turkey seminars each spring and is an active NWTF member at his local chapter in Cannon Falls, MN.

    In the fall, Joel also enjoys chasing whitetail deer along with his brothers. Lastly, Joel is also on the IDO Ice Pro Staff and has a passion for chasing slabs through the hard water. Please help us welcome Joel to our IDO Hunting Pro Staff as we look forward to him being a major contributor on iDohunting.com!

    I’d like to thank everyone here for the warm welcome and support with this endeavor. All of the positive comments are much appreciated, and make it fun to be associated with such a great group of folks.

    I’ll never claim to be the best turkey hunter out there, only one of the more fanatical. IDO is lucky to have such strong experience in its general members, keeping the discussions interesting and informative. I’ve already learned so much from everyone, and looking forward to learning more.

    Nelson + one rookie turkey hunter = birdzilla

    The guy knows turkey, I ‘ll give him that. I learned more on my hunt with him then I could have in years on my own.
