    Rat, you can get your fix in this weekend. Meet me down and Evert’s on pool 4 and we can go. open all year there. Other than that you may have to wait for the spring thaw. Which never does seem to come soon enough.

    In a few more weeks I’ll have enough ice fishing to satisfy me. A couple of
    honey-do things on my list……..I figure about the 1st of February I’ll be out in the boat house.

    I started this weekend straitening out equipment our first tournement practice is mar 31,cumberland lake ky.
    oh 50deg can’t come too soon.

    how far down stream is is open from everts??? To redwing no wake area? Is that back channel open by the marina? And can you really find bass in there and if you do find them how do you get them to bite or keep off all those sickle backs(walleyes) in there

    The river is generally open and fishable down to the head of the lake area.

    I couldn’t take it any more on New Year’s day. I got a fishing friend and we did the tour of all the boat launches of the lake. and there were a couple of guys just sitting in their trucks staring out at the water, wishing it was open. cursing the snow and ice. so if you saw a couple of guys cruising in a big black truck, it was me, praying for open water and telling stories of fish caught here and there.. and where ever…..

    How many more days until it warms up?
