    Subject: New Bill to code & tax AMMO on the table!!

    Whether you hunt plink or charish your Consitutional rights and freedoms pay attention to what
    ‘Change’ is already on the works. Regardless of how your vote went, if you hold these rights close
    they are about to be grasped by your voted into office congress people and representatives. There
    will, insue mighty effort to rip your rights out of your grasp. Pun intended! WARNED, IS ARMED!

    Its already started…Ammunition Accountability Legislation

    It has already started!

    Remember how Obama said that he wasn’t going to take your guns? Well, it
    seems that his minions and allies in the anti-gun world have no problem
    with taking your ammo!

    The bill that is being pushed in 18 states (including Illinois and Indiana)
    requires all ammunition to be encoded by the manufacture a data base of all
    ammunition sales. So they will know how much you buy and what calibers.
    Nobody can sell any ammunition after June 30, 2009 unless the ammunition
    is coded.

    Any privately held un coded ammunition must be destroyed by July 1, 2011.
    (Including hand loaded ammo.) They will also charge a .05 cent tax on
    every round so every box of ammo you buy will go up at least $2.50 or more!

    If they can deprive you of ammo they do not need to take your gun!

    This legislation is currently pending in 18 states: Alabama, Arizona,
    California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland,
    Mississippi, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island,
    South Carolina, Tennessee, and Washington.

    Send to your friends in these states AND fight to dissolve this BILL!!

    Another 4 years of the Republicans and we wouldn’t be able to afford ammo anyway so what difference does it make?

    The point is the government is removing more rights every day, if people do not have a problem with the government knowing what you own then do not worry about it. Dont care who is in charge.

    The thing is tho, is that it wont do anything but urine off the guys like you and me who do everything legal. The homeboys who are doing drive by shootings arent going to there local gun shop doing the paper work to get there 9mm and then buying a box of shells. they are all buying illegal guns and ammunition. they are stupid but they atleast have their head on right not to go and buy a box of shells the night/day they plan to shoot something.

    Thats why i dont understand why people think bills like this would ever stop gang violence. How can you trace something that doesnt exist?

    How about doing something about the laws on the books right now?
    Leave my guns and ammo alone.

    And “If the Republicans were in we wouldn’t be able to afford them anyways?” That’s funny right there! Be VERY careful what you wish for! With the majority in place right now you would be AMAZED how fast the rights you have now can change! They know better than you or I what is “Good” for us.

    You know it really don’t matter what side you are on Demi or Republican. We must stand together on this. First they will take this, but I can guarantee they are not done yet. More will come. Us sportsmen have more anti’s to fight then you realize, if it ain’t anit gun people it’s PETA. Those guys join forces and team up against us on this stuff. We must stay united.

    I agree with HNF. Bad Boys do not register their toys.

    I agree with Lip on the being united. Reps and Demis are both wrong a lot of the time. I just wanted to take a moment to remind you all of this document which I find to be more and more important as the days go by.

    Your politcal affiliation may not matter in this fight, but when a known anti-gun president is elected with several supreme court nominations in the future it’s not good. A constitutional ammendment is not easy to come by, but when you have a anti-gun pres and political stronghold in both the house and senate, it’s not going to help our cause. I know I’m buying an unregistered pistol and few other guns in the very near future. Good luck finding them.

    Hopefully he focuses on more pressing issues like turning the economy around in this country.

    Okay, we have the internet and cellphones and who knows what else at our disposal to get everyone united. So how do we do it? Do we just contact our friends on our email list and hope they pass it on or is there a way we can really unite and stand up for ourselves? The people back in the 60’s did a lot of protesting and standing up for their rights and didn’t have the tools we do.

    Please do not take this as a radical’s call to arms or that I think we should load our guns and march on washington. I am a patriot and have taken my oath to defend the United States of America and the Constitution. I have fought and bleed for this country, and will never betray her. However, while we are in these uncertain times it is more important than ever to ensure that our voices are heard by our elected officials. It seems that when chaos is abundant it is easy for men to enact laws and policies which strip our rights away. It happends on both sides of the parties. Be heard and Be informed, remember that our forfathers treked back and forth to England many times in many years before any revolution occured. There is still hope for us as long as we make ourselves heard in a professional and intelligent way.

    Voting is really just one tiny part of the whole process. Remeber that we vote for men and women that we want to speak for us. If they do not know what we want, then how can they speak on our behalf? Contact your state elected officials, and tell them how you want them to vote on ANY bill that comes to there attention.
    For pete’s sake we voted these guys in we should make them work for us.

    I will not get into a poilitical debate, because neither of us will do anyhting other than get frustrated. My only point was that people act mad and surprised when a politician who has an incredibly anti-gun track record is elected and anti-gun legislation follows. Pepare to pay more, as we have a lot of wealth that needs to be spread.

    It all starts at your state, the president does not pass laws, the senate and congress pass them and if the president agrees he signs them into law. Did not see a big change in either house, so people must like the way they run the country, back to fishing

    I agree that both parties have their faults. But we don’t need a civil war among hunters. Whether we all want to admit it or not, the gov’t is slowly taking more and more control over arms control. This unfortunately affects law abiding hunters more than it does the criminals. Guns don’t kill people, people do.

    I can finger point with the best of them! Ask yourself who (Which Party) has been in the majority the last two years? Ask yourself which branch had oversight powers in the house and senate that “Could” have kept this collapse from happening? (By not forcing mortgage companies and banks to make loans to people who could not afford them, or even have to show income!!!) And now a president has been elected who is amongst the leaders in receiving contributions from failed Freddie and Fannie, and is as anti-gun as anyone in either house or party?

    You will get everything you wished for and then some. I didn’t vote for him.
