Gary, you can use it on from any phone….just that it’s free on cells. Giver a whirl…then program it in!

Kris, if Goog ever goes down, I’ll gladly listen to an ad or two…if it’s fishing ads!

I would be pretty sure in saying that an 800 number on your cell is still going to use Plan minutes against your monthly total minutes.

no one said it wasnt going to use minutes, but usually when you call 411, directory assistance in your phone they charge you a “toll charge” at least thats how its put on my bill. usualy a buck or two. here this still uses your minutes im sure but it is free of charge

Even better, if you have a internet plan for your phone download google maps, it’ll give you a map, directions, instant traffic reports, and you can search businesses, once you find the business you are looking for, you can hit a another button and it will dial the phone number. I spent a week in Miami with only Google maps on my cell phone to get us around, maybe not the ideal method, but it worked. Free program, free download, assuming you have internet on your phone.

BK, thanks for the heads up on this.

I have been using 1-800-FREE-411. Lately it seems the voice recognition isn’t as effective. You would think they would be improving the technology.

Another difference I can see between the two is that 1-800-FREE-411 offers residential and government listings.

I now have both locked in the phone.

It’s almost as cool as having a new way-point.

at the risk of sounding like a total doofus, would the number be 1-800-4664-411? we’re technology challenged out here in the sticks.
if so, thanks brian, i just programmed it into my phone

Now if we can get the cell companies to quit charging us $1 when we call 911

I wonder how many people quit reporting serious accidents when they got a stiff charge on their bill for the good deed.

    Yes.

Thanks, I like it! If you say ‘Send text message’ it will send you the name, address, phone number, and a link to the map on your cell phone.

I got a kick out of the high-tech ‘thinking’ sound effects!

I just got a Mr. Buddy and I read something on here before about if you use a big tank with a hose to fuel it you need a fuel filter? Is that true and where do you put it, at the tank or at the heater end of the hose? Thanks for the help and Happy Thanksgiving to all!

    Wilson, just a quick search
    fuel filter

looks to me like you connect it to the fuel line and then to the heater?
