well, deer season has come to an end for many, I was thinking about trading my 20 gauge for a 12 gauge. same brand same scope in all… remington 11-80 is what i got. is it a good trade or not.

Agreed…. I’ve met a few hunters over the years that regret getting rid of their first gun, any gun for that matter… especially if it is remembered for harvesting a nice buck, like yours.

I agree with the others keep the 20 gauge and get a 12 gauge when you can afford to with out tradding in your 20 gauge. There will still be times when you want to use the 20 gauge and you can hand it down to your son someday.

i use to deer hunt with a 20ga. then when my son turned 12 and started deer hunting i let him use it (my 12ga. was a little to much for him at the time) well that was 4 years ago and now he is plenty big enough to handle a 12ga., only problem is he won’t give me my 20ga. back. i’d say keep the 20ga. BUT if you really feel you need to get rid of it let me know i,ve been wanting to get another.

I have been able to shoot slugs out of my 20 gauge alot more accuratly then my 12 gauge.
