    Welcome guys!

Since I grew up and started hunting in the late 60’s early 70’s, we didn’t have any geese to shoot. Well, we did, but once we spotted a flock, we would drive up to 80 miles to see if they would land. Out of the 6 or so times we followed them, Dad crawled up towards them and the spooked before he was 3 football fields away.

I did shoot a goose once. It was next to the road and must have been winged. I couldn’t get it to fly so after three shots at a sitting goose…I had dinner.

So…what’s a goose hunting trip like in 2008? What shot size and can I get away with using my 23/4 in lead number 4?

Do they get close enough for even a poor shot like myself?

    So many questions!

Briaa, I think you will have a hard time finding 2 3/4 inch shells. I have a 3″ you can use. Come on up and I’ll make sure you and anyone else get taken care of!

    And BK, no lead!
