I’ll be heading to Colorado next year at this time for an archery hunt…man that is awesome! Definately can’t come soon enough for me!

You know what they say about musky fishing Rob, well, elk hunting I think is the same. It’s very addicting. And expensive for us “easterners”. You gotta love it though when you can smell the animals before you see them.

I have never done it too. Someday the dream will come true.

It is very addicting…I posted a thread a few weeks ago with my report from Idaho – it was my first trip out there. I’d been invited for years to join a group that bowhunts in the Bitteroots but elected to hold off until this year. I figured it would be like trying cocaine…I knew that I couldn’t afford it, I couldn’t absorb the impact on the family, and I would be instantly addicted.

As I was driving home and was able to call my wife on the cell phone her comments were something like, “Sounds like you had a great trip, and – wow, you were even able to get a bull with your bow…so now you can sort of ‘scratch this off your list’, right?”

I’ve already started planning for next year’s trip. There ain’t no 12-step program that will get this monkey off my back.
