    Does anyone know anything about the Whitewater State Park deer hunt?

    I believe its a Doe only hunt and its a lottery, best bet would to go down to Elba, talk to Keith at the gas station he will know for sure.

    I used to hunt Whitewater every year from when I turned 15-16 until I was probably 25-26. It got a lot more crowded every year. With less and less land to hunt and more and more people wanting to hunt in SE MN. The public hunting lands are getting pummeled. Now it has been 10 years since I went there, but the last time I went, I saw people walking around without blaze orange and bullet’s seam to be flying from every direction. Hopefully it has changed. Check out Mauer Brothers in Alba also, best pickeled eggs ever.

    Are you referring to the Youth hunt?if you are it is actualy not a State park It is the Whitewater State game refuge and it is Oct. ?????

    Yeah not interested in the youth hunt. I was under the impression they hunted in the park. Some of the state parks have a great bow hunt. Sound like this one isn’t so great.
