I just found out last night, the planned hunt in Montana will be too early for Mule Deer.

So I guess I’ll have to settle for ditch chickens and the possibility of an Antelope.

Now all I have to do is explain to the wife why I’ll be leaving for Montana on our 10th Wedding Anniversary.

Hey Blue, don’t be that hard on yourself. That is what she is for.

Nice Montana Mule Deer would be nice. The problem is you would have to hit one. Mono does not work so well out there!

Speed goats would be fun too! Good luck!

Yeah, I think for the most part muleys open about 2 weeks after goats.

When I’d go out there after goats it was always over my wifes b-day around Columbus Day.

I have yet to be home in the 4 years I have known my wife for her Birthday. November 18th is just not a good week for me.

I LOVE that girl. Alhtough last year, she was with me hunting on her Birthday.

That was also the reason I got married jsut before season

After 10 yrs she doesn’t want you to leave the house as your gift to her? I’m advised to leave so she can celebrate in piece. Nothing like a little ice fishing to celebrate.

I would hate to be in your shoes man. I have a hard enough time just getting a weekend here and there to hunt at home. I just need to figure out how to put a couple of baby cribs up in the treestand with me then she might let me go moore.

    **update**

I had permission from the War Dept. to head out there, but everyone got cold feet when the gas prices went through the roof. So now we’re not going….

Maybe someday I’ll get out there.

Blue…now is when you go back to the wife and tell her how guilty you feel and that you decided to stay home for your anniversary! Big browny points my friend!
