Leaving tomorrow

    I leave tomorrow at 4 pm for a 16-18 hour drive down to Texas to hunt feral hogs Im going with 4 other guys(talk about a sausage fest ) and we are hunting friday through monday morning

    I went to A1 archery shop in Hudson for some last minute supplies on wednesday and got the Pro Bow Cam and hope to get the hogs on video If that doesn’t work, i will be able to film deer hunts next fall

    Im shooting the G5 Montec’s for these hogs. Since they are a durable cut on contact broadhead i figure they would be able to penetrate the thick fat on the pigs If i shoot one, i will then try taking one with a 100 grain Slick Trick. Ive always wanted to shoot something with this broadheads and hopefully ill get a chance

    I will be filming with and all digital (no film) camera that my brother got for his wedding, so if i film kills, i will try and post them on youtube so you guys can see it

    Wish me luck and hopefully ill do some justice

    You dont have to go that far south to shoot pigs–Iowa has places to go. I killed one with a 12 gauge one time, shot it right between the headlights and he dropped like a sack of potatoes. Not much left to mount but great meat.

    So did you kill any swine? Bacon wrapped porkchops on the grill? Cant wait to see your movies.I saw a guy on tv one time kill one with just a knife, he was strong.

    I didn’t want to say anything until i got the pictures and videos posted But i filled my tag and shot 3 hogs I shot 2 on video and the third one i wouldn’t have been able to get on video or i would have missed the opportunity to kill em. I will post the pics and videos later
