I gave the Snosuit a really tough break in trial for our late season deer hunt here in Illinois. The temps where even colder than forecast, with 20-30 below wind chills and 2-5 degree high temps.
I spent three hours in a tree stand out in the open, on a ridge top on Saturday morning. The suit was actually even better than I expected! I could not use the hood, as my orange would not fit over top of it, but I still stayed absolutely warm for the entire time. My face was the only place I felt a little discomfort, until my hand warmers wore out, then it was time to go.
The snosuit was amazing. Winds of 15-25 mph with -10 temp when I got in the tree did not penetrate the suit whatsoever. I am sold! I chose the stand I was in mostly as a strong test for the snosuit, and 3 hours of sitting absolutely still in those conditions, I am confident there will be little or nothing mother nature can throw at me in this neck of the woods that I cannot stay safely warm. One happy customer here!
While the Snosuit is not designed for quiet, and not currently offered in camo, it is still a great suit for those who spend much still time outdoors in very cold weather. I will use mine for coyote calling, ice fishing, and the occasional time when deer season gets some extreme weather.
