What is your favorite receipe for mixing up a batch of deer burger? Time to get the grinder out and I want to try something different. Thanks for the help

I tried this for the first time this year: We purchased 6 pounds of the cheapest bacon we could find…ground it up and mixed it in with 19 pounds of venison.

It makes the smokiest, juiciest burgers I’ve ever had.

Ya gotta try it. We’ll be making this every year now.

Agreed, 20% to 30% smoked bacon ends. I’ve had people that don’t eat/like venision try it and loved it.

I like this one,,,Mix a package of dry onion soup mix plus some diced long green onions and some grated sharp chedder cheese together then fry or grill. Because of the chopped onions and cheese its a good idea to work the burger in your hands to make it stick together better befor frying it so it dosen’t fall apart in the pan. When its just about done put a slice of chedder cheese on the top then put the lid back on so it melts better. Put a couple slices of dill pickle, a slice of onion, katsup and mustard and this burger done over charcoal and with a grilled bun with real butter is good!

Another tip is to add a little Teriyaki into some of it also.

I like to add Worchestershire sauce and choped onions and let set in fridge for 3-4 hrs.and grill.

I prefer Leggs #25 Hot italian seasoning, 60/40 pork trimmings. Makes a great burger and the spaghetti is top notch. I’ve done bacon burger, very good as well but way spendy unless your smoking your own bacon. My meat sauce spaghetti is on the menu for tomorrows games, that along with some whole loaf garlic bread…mmmm.

Same here Ben, you must get yours done the same place I do as Jason turned me on to them a few years ago. My wife does not like venison but she loves the burgers with the bacon ends.
