My deer hunting jacket has so many burrs and junk on it from the last weekend of the season. I made one push through some junk and I’ve never been covered by burrs like that. If I were to pick them by hand, it would take me several days.

Anyone have a good suggestion to speed up the process of removing these things? Brush? Wash?

    Help!

Make the kids pick them off for punishment! On the serious side would a Dry Cleaner take them off before they cleaned it?

    Good Hard Elbow Grease,

I do have a pumice(sp?) stone that works pretty good for clothes and dog.

I pull them when sitting in the stand or a blind. Not much else to do but I agree…..it can drive you nuts……you just have to do it a little at a time.

Same thing happen to me 6 years ago while crossing some CRP in the dark. I put it in a garbage bag and threw it in one of my bins of clothes. Guess what? It’s still there untouched.

I used one of those critter brushes you can get in the pet stores, or section of your favorite box store. Sure beat the hell otta picking. Get the one for more ‘cours’ hair, not the fine kitty fur. ‘And may the force be with you.’

I usually take a pair of those rubber coated gloves and run my hand down the garment using some pretty good pressure

Use a comb that is used for baby hair, it’s teeth are very close together. I gotta believe an “ace” comb would just as well. Good luck

A little lighter fluid and a match!

Had the same problem with a wool jacket a couple of years ago and tried a wire dog brush, it worked OK.

Use a plastic butter knife. put the jacket/pants on the garage floor and start scraping away. make sure to use one that has a good edge. it’s worked miracles for me in the past
