    I know a couple of his nephews, From what I heard it was a heck of a lot more than 3 stiches. Dam bears there suppose to be sleepin

    Not trying to play armchair here but…….

    Was he not hunting when this happened? So I would assume he was armed?

    The report never stated if the fella even tried to defend himself.

    Just thought that was a little weird

    Must have been something about bears that day. My group was in Ashland County and one of the young guys was crossing a ravine/creek bottom full of blowdowns and beaver dams. Stepping over some logs he looked down and said this big black head came poking up. And it was followed by the rest of the bear. It was a lot more funny they way he told it and the way his eyes got big. His bear ran off with no harm to either. He did say he had the safety off and was ready.

    Right on. you can also go to weau.comand then click on the link, they did a interview with him. I would have used it here but I could not find the url to the flash video to post here. maybe someone can tell me how?
