Thanks for the article Link! So they are against eating Turkey, but yet try to make their Thanksgiving meal taste like it!? Doesn’t make sense to me!

“She received a dinner of garden-veggie-stuffed soy-based turkey roast with wild rice and cranberries for her win.”

If they’re so against eating meat…quit trying to duplicate the taste and just eat grass!

    WACK JOB

    Pass the juicy bird please

I was wondering though, Thanksgiving is a holiday intended to celebrate a great segments of our country’s past. In keeping with tradition, the meal, as it was shared and celebrated by the pilgims and indians, includes turkey and the main dish.

Why then, does the president of the United States publically pardon two farm raised (eater) turkeys each Thanksgiving?

    cheers

So if her big complaint is with the companies trying to make a profit, and the way they treat animals, does that mean she wouldn’t mind me going on a turkey hunt for my dinner?

Um her parents really need to learn how to cook. I personally don’t consume Turkey blood, and I sure don’t eat the bones. but that’s just me!

“The death of one is a tragedy, the death of a million is just a statistic.” These words apply to the animals that are killed each year for Thanksgiving and other holidays. When just a single, innocent animal is killed, people feel sorry for that one animal.

I have Yet to kill a single animal, and feel sorry for it! Heck I usually get excited about it. If I hear of people I know killing animals. I get excited for them too. However The Death of millions , if done by one person, I call illegal and that get’s me going.

Oh did I mention I have been a member of P.E.T.A. as long as I can remember?

People Eating Tasty Animals. So who wants to go hunting or fishing? I’m hungry!

I Don’t know that I would call her a WackJob. I can see why we think that though. It sounds more to me like she’s a 15 year old (who has been doing this since 11) that picked up on this somewhere along the line. What 11 year old decides that they don’t want to eat meat?

It raises the question of what I would tell my boy/girl if they came to me one day (being that young) and said they weren’t going to eat meat anymore because it’s cruel to animals. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm. I would have to take a 1 hour time out and come back with all the reasons written down in a PowerPoint presentation.

Sounds like a very passionate little girl with some very good writing skills. However, it’s unfortuante that somewhere along the line she lost the true meaning of Thanksgiving and what he means for her country.

Which is the greater tragedy: A turkey dying for our dinner, or hundreds of acres of wildlife habitat plowed under for her soybeans? Whether you are vegetarian, vegan, or omnivore, your food decisions kill animals and vegetables.

Life feeds on life. Call it cruel, call it unfair, but it is true. That is the nature of life. For us to live, something must die.

I’ve always considered poultry to be a vegetable, anyhow.
