My partner and I were talking on the boat ride back to the truck about keeping a fish of that caliber. I just don’t think I could do it. I don’t think I could kill one. I always hope that I can catch a fish like that down the road again, hopefully bigger. Guess it just comes from my love for muskie fishing.

Disclaimer: All of this will fly out the window of course when it is 18 lbs , but till that happens they will all be going back.

Notice my slightly goofy expression in the picture (other than the one I was born with), I was in awe.

Nice fish sir! Tonka can be a hoot! And this time of the year is the time to fish it. I got a 27″ a couple of years ago out there in November…… Hmmm, maybe thats what I should do this weekend…..

I got the same email. From what I read the two bulls started fighting on opposite sides of the fence. They ended up taking out about 100 yards of barbed wire! What a horrible way to go!

Thanks guys, it was fun, but we have switched gears and last couple trips out were for muskies. Got a 38.5″ and my buddy got a 33″, looking like our season is about to end, fall was very kind to us.

Anyone else still chasing on Tonka?
