Not much of a story to tell ,
We hunt in the Buffalo Wyoming area which is very good for Antelope ,
Buck tags run like $ 260.00 I think and then you can buy up to 6 doe tags over the counter for $29.00 !
They are a very fun animal to hunt and trust me when you think you got a good sneak going on they have
already got you pegged from mile away ….
It’s hard to find Private land but if you ask a 1000 ranchers you never know maybe 1 will let you hunt..
Tons of BLM/ State land to hunt but you will deal with other hunters and will be walking in 4 to 5 miles to find good animals
which is what we do .
Long story short the Doe I shot at 410 yards on the 3rd shot
The Buck was something else , We seen a group of bucks at about 500 yards and put the stalk on , got within about 300 yards and
got pinned down for 2 hours ( could not pick one out with out hitting another one so had to wait ) then they started moving off so we jumped
into a small water way and got with in 80 yards of them which we did not know at the time .
Stuck my head up over the hill and balls we are on top of them , picked him out of 6 bucks and down he went .
I ended up with him and 2 does .
We shot 13 goats for 6 guys . Great trip .
