Primos are the only ones I found that didn’t have wooden dowels in them, I hate the sound the wood ones make. That said I use a different method than anyone else I know and it brought me horns this year. I lower the bag on my lift rope and let it rattle from plopping it on the ground or side of the tree base. I can make some pretty realistic sounds and I wonder if being more at ground level doesn’t help some. The biggest advantage is I can rattle with both hands on the bow by using my toe to do the jiggling. If a buck comes running from nearby cover I’m already set and won’t get caught in mid rattle as I have before.
