I bought my 12 yr old this shotgun (20 ga) last year for his birthday and it was a great first gun for him,got his first deer with it and loves the feel of the youth stock etc. but now after having less than 3 boxes of mics, rounds through it the shells jam on ejection.I have been told the speed pump is nortorious for this problem but am looking for input as to whether a trip to a gunsmith is worth my time or just trade it in and forget it.Dove season is just around the corner and everything else he loves to hunt wont be long either. What would you do ??

Completly dismantle it and put a light film of graphite on the slides, check the gas seal to make sure it is intact.I shot one for years and that gun HAD to be clean to function right.
