Ok, I just sold my Hoyt Trykon, to be honest I wasn’t REAL impressed with it’s performance over the season. I have been taking a serious look at the Ross 334 and the Parker Hunter Mag? I’m now looking for a faster, lighter bow. Anybody shooting these models?

Take a look at Mathews new ‘Drenaline” (I think that is what it’s called). If it’s better than the SwitchBack XT I might have to get a new one.

December 19, 2006 at 12:44 am #27347I hear that the drenalin is no where near as smooth as the XT. But it is faster, so it’s like shooting a bow tech fast but unsmooth . I would seriously look at a mathews though in my honest oppinion i think they are the best bows on the market.

December 19, 2006 at 12:53 am #27349I love my Switchback xt, the drenaline looks sweet.I can’t wait to shoot it.Im sucker for new the new Mathews. The Switchback xt is my 6th bow by them. I usally get a new one every year.To tell ya the truth it will be hard to put down my XT.I will try and shoot the drenalin this weekend and I will give you guys a full report.Hands down in all the bows I have shot the XT out performs them all.It fits me perfect and I have full confidence in it.Thats the main key in a bow you have to find the one that fits you.

December 19, 2006 at 12:56 am #27350Check out Bowtech. I have shot their bows for about five years and would not think of shooting anything else.
One thing about Bowtech though, they are not the smoothest bow. They are fast and deadly accurate but if you have bad shoulders it may not be the bow for you.December 19, 2006 at 12:56 am #512671Check out Bowtech. December 19, 2006 at 3:17 am #27371I have shot a Parker Hunter Mag for 4 years and a Mathews Switchback for 2 years. These bows are certainly in different tiers of performance. The Switchback is the smoothest and most fun bow I have ever owned or shot. I like the Parker bows but they have much more vibration then a Mathews. I would put Hoyt in the top five to buy and hear good things about Ross although I have not shot one as of today. Go shoot as many as you can and buy what works for you.

December 29, 2006 at 6:57 am #27763Everyone who is looking into getting a drenlin ive seen two different bows that have snapped the limbs in half. I had the chance to shoot the guardian and it has NO hand shock and little noise. I believe bowtech is going to be getting money from me this year

January 7, 2007 at 7:27 pm #28022If you are not afraid to leave the well beaten path…
The Mathews production mgr called this new bow the “most exciting new bow He’d ever seen!”at the ATA trade show last year.
I shot one and have a 2007 coming in about two weeks… They leave you with your jaw hanging after one pull…sawing “WOW!!!”

January 8, 2007 at 6:17 am #28031No wheels,no cams,nothing to screw up… just a fast flite shoot thru harness and a bow string…
Whisper quiet and fast…carbon limbs, machined riser, Let off to 95%… 10 year garauntee.
Yes the Oneidas are also lever limbs but have a lot more parts and are designed differently… They are still in business and are very nice bows also. I have an Extreme Eagle.

January 11, 2007 at 1:31 am #28130I shot the Mathews Drenalin, Switchback XT, and the Bowtech Gaurdian the past weekend. I can say for me the Gaurdian shot the best followed closely by the XT and Drenalin far back. If I had to buy one today I would probably buy the switchback XT, because its a proven bow and the gaurdian is a new design with the center pivot. I would like to shot the new Hoyt and the bowtech tribute before I make a decision.

February 4, 2007 at 5:24 am #28828Just looked at Archery Business magazine…the Bear “Truth” caused the biggest stir at the ATA show this year…
faster, quieter, and smoother than the SwitchBack XT or Drenalin
